Also, I would be remiss were I not thank everyone who stopped by for the TPRS Open House yesterday. There were many more visitors than invitations printed, so of course we ran out of beer and chips, and Pizza Hut refused to run a tab for me. So, for those of you who left hungry, a thousand mea culpas. Things would have remained relatively quiet if Larry Simon hadn't set off the fire alarm. That brought the Seabrook police and fire departments, then the nieghbors and gawkers, the press and the groupies, and...well, I'm sure you can imagine the carnage created by this unplanned bacchanal. Fortunately, my insurance agent tells me that the damage should be covered by my homeowner's insurance. Whew....
A word to the wise: NEVER leave Larry Simon alone with a box of matches and a can of starter fluid. A lot of things can happen, and NONE of them are good....
I do appreciate all of you who stopped by yesterday to check out my new abode. In the 11 months I've been doing this, I've never had more than 88 visitors in a day, and that was just last Friday. Yesterday 238 visitors arrived at my humble, unassuming little weblog. I was stunned. I'm not sure what to chalk the stampede up to, but it was nice to have so many people stop by (although cleaning the carpet is going to be a BITCH...).
My weblog started out as a way to teach myself HTML, and then continued as a way for me to deal with 9.11. As time went by, it became and continues to be a way for me to exorcise my demons in a relatively safe and socially acceptable manner. Being able to writing here, as well as for Bad Samaritan (thanks, mg!!!) has been a godsend- and MUCH cheaper than therapy.
Y'all are welcome anytime, and feel free to tell me what you think. I'm always open to suggestions- right, Brian?
