So who would benefit from a strike?

Let's play devil's advocate here for just a few moments. Assuming there is a baseball strike, who would benefit? Even a short, 1985-style work stoppage could change the character of the remainder of the season. Of course, even after a short (or long) work stoppage, would anyone care any longer (besides me)??
