As of 6.30 this morning, there is still no deal between Major League Baseball's owners and players. Meanwhile, the Boston Red Sox charter sits on the tarmac in Boston while the players wait to see if enough progress is being made to justify flying to Cleveland for tonight's game.
From all indications, both sides feel they are close to a deal, but can they make sufficient progress early enough today to keep tonight's games from being shelved?? This brand of brinksmanship is not doing anyone any good- particularly baseball.
