Chapter 1- TS Fay begins to make up her mind

Tropical Storm Fay is beginning to move inland at about 2 MPH. It's not much, but at least she's getting off her ass (figuratively speaking). We're now under a Hurricane Watch, which is never a good thing, but at least a watch only speaks to the possibility of a hurricane.

I guess this means we're not going fishing this weekend??

Susan called me from Kemah to tell me that the waves are breaking over the parking lot and there is about two inches of standing water. We've moved everything that might become a projectile out of the back yard. The house is about as ready as it's going to be.

She called a few minutes ago from the Kroger in Seabrook. It's wall to wall people, most of whom seem to be in full panic mode. Maybe it's time to just say the hell with it and have a hurricane party.

Stay tuned, y'all. The fun looks as if it's about to begin....
