Congratulations to my Minnesota Twins, who clinched the AL Central Division title with a 5-0 win this afternoon over the defending champions, the Cleveland Indians. The Twins have qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 1991, when they won their second World Series title by defeating the evil, blood-sucking Atlanta Braves in a seven-game war of attrition.
I only hope that this year's playoff experience will be similarly productive. Take THAT, Bud....
