OK, everyone; repeat after me: "I miss Bud Adams"

Now that Tropical Storm Fay has made her exit, this town can get back to worrying about what's really important- FOOTBALL!

Tonight, a Texas football rivlary will be reborn when the Houston Texans play the evil, blood-sucking Dallas Cowboys. Of course, this being the NFL, the teams will not play again until something like 2006; so much for the rivalry. The question here, though, is who to support. Ever since the Oilers left town (good riddance...), many folks here have become Cowboys fans by default. Who do you root for now? Up and down I-45, which connects Houston and Dallas, it's an open question.

Getting to today has been a long road for Bob McNair, and by extension the thousands of football fans who have needed a team to call their own. I don't know that many folks realistically expect the Texans to win tonight, but at least it's a start. At least Channel 11 won't have to force-feed us Cowboys' games any longer....
