Politics in Houston, like most large cities, can often be a blood sport. A good illustration of this is the perjury indictment of Houston Police Chief Clarence Bradford. What makes this case truly interesting is that the bottom line seems to be...profanity.
The use of profanity when chastizing subordinates is never appropriate, but should it be used as a basis to pursue criminal charges? Perhaps I'm missing something here, but this really does seem to be much ado about nothing in the "mine is bigger than yours" world of Houston politics. Is this really what we want our tax dollars spent on?
