Making lemonade out of lemons

The Pelican Brief: Seabrook Vandals Sought

On the night of October 3rd, two of Seabrook's most famous residents (our ceramic pelicans fron The Pelican Path Project) were vandalized.

The Commodore, a six-foot-tall fiberglass pelican owned by Corrigan Consulting on Capri Lane, had the parrot knocked from its shoulder and stolen.

Evidence at the crime scene were stray foam from the pelican and a beer bottle in the boat at the bottom of the pelican.

The BEFORE picture....

"I am just furious about this," Tony Wessendorff of Corrigan Consulting said. "I think it is the prank of a child who is probably bragging about his new treasure in school today. I am offering a $100 reward for the return of the parrot."

The second pelican damaged is the policeman, "Pumba" which sits in front of Marburger's sporting goods store on Highway 146. This pelican is actually owned by the Seabrook Policeman's Association. Paint on the face of the pelican has been purposefully peeled away damaging one of the eyes. The tongue was also broken and laying inside the pelican's mouth.

The reward can be claimed by contacting Wessendorff at 281-474-7455 after the return of the parrot for the Commodore.

One of the nice things to come out of this sorry incident is that someone at Corrigan Consulting seems to have a sense of humor. I just hope that no one is missing a pink flamingo....

That's just great; now someone is probably missing a pick flamingo....
