Houston Texans 24, Pittsburgh Steelers 6
The Texans' offense garnered all of 3 first downs. Their offense was outgained by the Steelers' offense 422-48. David Carr completed 3 of 10 passes for all of 33 yards. To make matters worse, the Texan's running game averaged all of 1.5 yards per carry- AND THEY WON CONVINCINGLY. What up wi' dat??
Of course, the three fumbles the Steelers lost, and the two Tommy Maddox passes that Houston's Aaron Glenn returned for touchdowns didn't exactly help Pittsburgh's cause. I watched the game, and I still don't quite believe what I saw. This one was ugly- if you're a Steelers fan. For the Texans, well, it certainly wasn't pretty, but who needs an offense anyway??
Meanwhile, the (formerly evil and blood-sucking but now just hopelessly inept) Cowboys managed to once again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, losing 31-27 to San Francisco. Ah, life is sweet, ain't it?? Now if my Minnesota Vikings can somehow manage to beat the evil, blood-sucking Packers in Green Bay tonight, I can die a happy man....
