Macroeconomics made (too) simple

Econ 101: Supply, Demand, and Prayer

A lot of us who went to college suffered through some sort of economics class. I was actually (shudder) an Economics major for the better part of my freshman year...something about doing something practical.... I sat through Microeconomics and Macroeconomics classes, wondering all the while if I had enough money to order a pizza that night. Suffice it to say that Economics was lost on me. I went back to being a History major, and the rest, as they say, is history. At least history, at it's most basic, is just one damn thing after another.

Hey, at least they still HAVE belts, eh??

Dave Barry explains the current state of the US economy in terms all of us, especially History majors, can understand. Man, I had no idea that Ebay and PETA played such pivotal roles in our economy. Barry knows that we're all tired of "facts" and "numbers", so he's here to provide us with some completely unresearched and hypothetical information about the state of our economy. Strangely, it makes about as much sense as anything I've heard on CNBC.
