Continuing my anti-smoking theme of the past couple days, today's rant takes on a different tack. What if there ARE benefits to smoking? Sure it makes you more sophisticated, worldly, and sexually desirable to the opposite sex, but what if there are actual HEALTH benefits to smoking the evil cancer sticks? Todd LaClair once again steps into the breach, providing me with this piece.
I would still say that, on balance, smoking is a deadly and disgusting habit. Even so, just as the consumption of alcohol (a poison) has certain benefits, it appears that smoking cigarettes may also. Of course, I still would caution that the risks far outweigh the benefits, but for those of you looking to justify your addictive behavior, here's your "justification".
