WWJD? Who cares? He doesn't have a license.

Michele Catalano is upset about those who hate people who drive SUVs, and you know something? She has a point. There are WAY too many people becoming way too self-righteous over this issue, when there is really a very simple solution. Are you ready?

IF YOU DON'T LIKE SUVs, THEN DON'T DRIVE ONE!!

My God, people, what is it with y'all? What about those of us who drive '96 Ford F150's with 85,000 miles on them (Yep, that would be me- don't hate me because I'm beautiful, 'kay??)? Where do you draw the line? Will you be happy only when everyone is driving a Geo Metro? Doubtful. (But GM sure would be, no?)

Methinks the anger is somewhat misplaced here. SUVs may make for obvious targets, but there are many other vehicle types that don't set MPG records, either. Why is the anger and vitriol focused solely on SUV owners? Get a grip on reality, people, and let me issue you a word of caution here. You might want to think twice before you start slapping your self-righteous anti-SUV tracts on SUV windows here in Texas. People don't take kindly to that sort of thing here, and some of us may be armed. You've been warned....

In the meantime, if you want to make a difference, there are plenty of sensible ways to do it. Feed the poor. Become a Big Brother or Big Sister. Visit a nursing home. Just lay off the people who own SUVs, willya? This is a free country, after all...at least it was when last I checked.
