Bengals decide on Lewis over Mularkey
...they answer our prayers. Well, the good news is that Marvin Lewis finally has his head-coaching job, perhaps proving that the NFL IS willing to hire African-Americans as head coaches. The bad news is that Lewis is now the coach of the perpetually moribund Cincinnati Bungles...er...Bengals. To say that Lewis has his work cut out for him would be an understatement of otherworldly proportions. To say that the Bengals suck wouldn't BEGIN to do justice to the futility this franchise has come to symbolize.
The Bengals have it all- unmotivated players, poor coaching, dangerously clueless management, AND a brand-new stadium in which to showcase their ineptitude. Doesn't exactly sound like a recipe for success, eh? Good luck, Mr. Lewis; you are going to need it. Mazel tov....
