U.S. Drops Terror Alert Level to Yellow
I suppose that would explain why I slept so much better last night,eh??
WASHINGTON - The Bush administration lowered the national terror alert Thursday from orange to yellow, suggesting the immediate threat of an attack on U.S. soil had eased. Still, Americans were warned to "continue to be defiant and alert."
OK, but defiant of what? Well, how about John Ashcroft? After all, he is the one seeking to amend the USA PATRIOT Act to allow the government even MORE power to invade our privacy. I'm all for fighting terrorism; but does trampling the Bill of Rights have to be part of that battle?
