We're the government, and we're here to...aw, fugeddabboudit

Trust us: We can do better than duct tape, plastic

Yeah, but you do have to admit that it sure is a lot easier than telling Americans what they actually need to do and need to have in the event of a terrorist attack, eh? After all, it's the perception of safety and security that counts....

What? The gubmint isn't just gonna take care of us all automatically?

There's so many wrong things at play here, but let's start with the fact the feds and staties have been telling us for 20+ years that they will be taking care of us in any and all circumstances. And the newspapers have been right there pimping for the "expanded role of government." Nanny state crap, I says, and panic is what it gets you at crunch time. Grrrr....

Please, don't even get me started on this.

Ah, hell, why not? It's not likely anyone reads this blog, anyway.... ;0)

So, how come no-one has made the obvious joke about the remote possibility of breathing whilst hermetically sealed in plastic sheeting?

I dunno; perhaps it's a little TOO obvious??
