Beth Chaplin, a good, thoughtful Liberal (which I aspire to be), eloquently discusses why she has come to understand that this war, while a horrible thing, is a necessary evil. I've written something similar to this, but Beth goes into much greater detail. For both of us, the war boils down to one simple fact: it's the right thing to do given the circumstances we face.
