One of my clients today told me that her husband died of a heart attack yesterday. He dropped dead on the shop floor at work. What do you say to someone who has just dropped that one on you? My heart goes out to her...there but for the Grace of God....
The first thing I did was call Susan and tell her I love her. I may not always be the world's best husband, but I suddenly felt the need to let her know how important she is to me.
On a related note, I also called my younger brother Michael to wish him a Happy 206th birthday. He deserves it.
Given what I could be dealing with, life looks pretty good about now.
