Yes, war is brutal, but this is beyond the pale

If there is somebody captured -- and it looks like there may be -- I expect those people to be treated humanely, just like we'll treat any prisoners of theirs that we capture humanely. If not, the people who mistreat the prisoners will be treated as war criminals.

OK, kids; anyone have any questions as to why we're at war with a regime that cannot even follow the laws of war? Do you really think American troops would be treating Iraqi POWs in such a degrading, animalistic manner? Would American troops feign surrender, only to attack when their opponents decide to act honorably and accept their surrender?
