Texas abortion bill goes beyond insult to injury
Well, if you had been thinking for some strange reason that Texas is hospitable to women, you might want to reassess your assumptions. While anti-choice activists recognize that the likelihood of outlawing abortion in toto is not great, they have realized that they just might be able to choke it off at the roots by eliminating access. Duplicitous? Underhanded? You bet it is. What they cannot accomplish outright because of a little thing called Roe v. Wade they are attempting to achieve in a sneaky, underhanded manner by tinkering around the edges- and the anti-choice absolutists have a better than 50-50 chance of success.
