The Sum of Two Evils: Saddam's nastiest biological weapons may have been his sons Uday and Qusay
You may doubt whether the US military will ever find any weapons of mass destruction. You may doubt whether or not the US will ever be able to rebuild Iraq as a viable nation. Even so, if only HALF of what is relayed in this piece is true, going to war against Iraq was worth it, if only to rid this planet of Saddam Hussein and his two vile, despicable, barely human sons.
Reading through the laundry list of depravity, excess, and venality, I can't help but wonder why Saddam Hussein was essentially a client of the US government for so many years? In a sense, we are complicit in these crimes. Our government knew what was happening, and yet chose to look the other direction. That is almost as despicable as the crimes of Qusay and Uday. How many people were beaten and tortured, how many father saw their daughters raped, how many innocent Iraqis were summarily executed because we choose to do nothing?
