The Astros are getting thumped tonight, but there is one interesting story taking place. Into the game just now in a relief appearance for Houston is Dan Miceli, whom the Astros picked up Tuesday in a trade with the New York Yankees. This would be an otherwise unremarkable background note to a blowout, except that Houston is the FOURTH team that Miceli has played for this year. Miceli began the year in Colorado, who released him May 11th. Four days later, Cleveland picked him up. In mid-June, Cleveland sent him to the Yankees for a bucket of warm spit, a '67 Gremlin, and two Sourdough Jacks. Now Houston has him. Lucky us....
I'm assuming that Miceli will be renting, not buying. The season is only about 2/3 of the way complete, so it's not inconceivable that Miceli could be wearing yet another uniform by the end of the season. That would sure make for a hell of an office pool, eh?
