Time to make yourself heard

The American people deserve the truth

Susan found this ad in this morning's Chronicle. It would seem that the questions are not about to go away anytime soon, no matter how strenuously Shrub and his minions try to ignore them.

You know it's on when rich Liberals enter the fray- in this case Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman and George Soros. Before you begin denigrating their efforts, however, consider their argument:

American men and women risked and gave their lives for a war based on fighting an imminent threat to homeland security. The case for this war- made unequivocally by President Bush and members of his Administration- rested on intelligence that has been exposed as exaggerated or even false.

In the interest of fairness (and the truth), the Administration owes it to the American public to allow- and cooperate with- an impartial and independent review of the evidence. If the evidence reveals that Shrub and members of his Administration lied (and I emphasize "IF"), then the President should do the honorable thing and resign.

I have been trying to maintain an open mind, but the Adminstration's stonewalling and spin doctoring are rendering that a futile exercise. We deserve the truth, and if we lost men and women in service of something less than the truth, then George W. Bush is an embarrassment with American and Iraqi blood on his hands.
