Federal courts have last word in Alabama
This is a fairly straightforward case of the government, in this case Alabama, endorsing one religion over others. The federal courts, who have supremacy over the state courts, have ordered the Ten Commandments out of the courthouse. That order is being enforced, and it's really pretty straightforward. I don't think there is any hope to this further lawsuit. I think that the court is really making sure that its order is enforced.

If any of y'all actually harbor delusions that this controversy has ANYTHING to do with religion, may I suggest you watch something BESIDES the Fox Nuisance Channel from time to time? Better yet, might I recommend some light bedtime reading- how 'bout the US Constitution?? The section on the separation of Church and State is particularly enlightening.
For those of you who have been wasting your time at the courthouse in Montgomery, wake up and smell the cat litter. This is not about denying the validity of Christianity. This is about the Constitutionally-mandated separation of Church and State. PERIOD. Yes, YOU may be a Christian, but not everyone in the country is, though you no doubt feel they should be. Just a hint- the Crusades weren't exactly a raging success. It turns out that tolerance is a GOOD thing. Who knew??
If you want to practice your faith- wonderful. Go to church and pray, and more power to you. A government institution is NOT the place for it. Now stop wasting your time- and, more importantly, mine.
