So during the legislative mess of this summer, both sides fire away at the other about Texans' supposed will to stand and fight. This reference to dusty, bloodstained honor is hard to take seriously from folks who are washing their hands with Marriott soap, or when it's mouthed by elected officials who are in Austin eating at the Texas Chili Parlor on a per diem. Not to mention the tiresome repetition of the rhetoric. Somebody hire these boys new speechwriters.
