Finally, I have some good news. No, this may not mean that Susan will be coming home today, but I'm almost willing to get my hopes up. I walked into her hospital room this morning to find her in much better spirits and much less pain. She was actually rather cantankerous, which is not typically characteristic of her, but I was happy to see her feeling well enough to crab about a few things. Yes, at this point I'll take my good news in whatever form it is is dispensed.
OK, so she's not exactly doing windsprints up and down the hall, but I've helped her walk the halls on three different occasions. We've explored the north, east and west wings (her room is on the south wing), and yep, all of the wings look pretty much the same. For the first time in a week, her spirits are up, and she can carry on a conversation without wearing herself out. Now, if the neurologist agrees that she is better, I may just be able to bust her out of the hospital this afternoon. Of course, we'd thought that she might have been able to go home on Saturday, so I'm not holding my breath just yet, but it is nice to have something to hope for....
I just came home to grab some lunch, and now I'm going to head back to the hospital to see what the possibilities are. It would be nice for Boo to have someone else to chew on for awhile. Stay tuned....
