Sunday morning free association

On a day when my desire to rant is running at low ebb, I still found these items interesting:

  • Yo tengo cojones MUY GRANDE: In what could possibly be interpreted as an attempt to demonstrate his seriousness as a candidate, Howard Dean will begin running TV ads in Austin. Money well spent? If nothing else, Dean seems to be at least thinking outside the box. I'm starting to like this guy....
  • Is infidelity ‘natural’ for men? I can see it now..."But honey, it's a biological imperative!! You're trying to deny nature!" Lotsa luck, guys....
  • A very moving experience? Via Fark, here is the saga of a cooking contest in Toronto, in which every dish was required to use Kellogg's All Bran cereal. (Insert snarky commentary here)
  • Should I stay or should I go? Liberia's Charles Taylor is apparently waiting until the civilian body count reaches a certain level before stepping down as President. Just what that level is...well, your guess is as good as mine. I'm guessing 100%.
  • Democratic Unity Behind Davis Unravels. Man, it must suck to be Gray Davis these days. The good thing, though, is that he's about to find out who his friends are.
  • New Security Flaws Found in Windows. I know; I was shocked as well. Workers at Microsoft must feel like the little the Dutch boy these days, trying to figure out which hole in the dike to plug.
  • Upbeat Bush Says Economy Ready to Rebound. In other exciting Conservative news, Shrub announced that he just saved a bunch of money on his auto insurance. Also, Ann Coulter has apparently confirmed rumors that she will be appearing nude in "The National Review" with Conservative icon William Kristol. No details were immediately available, but officials at the Republican National Committee did confirm that the photo shoot will involve a bag of chocolate chip cookies and a blue dress. Unconfirmed rumors also have Karl Rove involved in the project.
