Am I the only one who was offended by Shrub's pre-recorded quasi-political ad prior to last night's Jets-Redskins game? And did I really hear him equate football players to our soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan? Please tell me that he didn't put a game on the same level with men and women dying for their country.
It's one thing when football coaches delude themselves into thinking that they are leading men into battle, but when you have the President of the United States buying into that same delusion, something is very, very wrong. At the very least, it is the height of disrespect to our uniformed sons and daughters who are involved in something that is most definitely NOT a game.
Sounds like someone needs a reality check, Mr. President.
