...HURRICANE ISABEL RIGHT ON TRACK...HEADING FOR THE NORTH CAROLINA
COAST...
I got a call tonight from my brother in Greenville, North Carolina, who called to tell me that he was still alive. That, of course, is a good thing, but that is the sort of thing one worries about when a loved tells you that a hurricane is due to knock on his front door in the next day or two. Having been through a few myself in the time I've lived in southeast Texas, I understand the fear and trepidation that comes with the uncertainty. You can only nail down so much before you have to hunker down and wait to see what Mother Nature has in store for you, and the waiting is often the hardest part.
I'll be calling tomorrow to check in on my brother, but you can bet he and his family aren't going to be far from my thoughts. Tomorrow's forecast in eastern North Carolina calls for 70-80MPH winds. Let's just hope everything is nailed down.
