San Antonio priest charged with indecent exposure

SAN ANTONIO - A Catholic priest faces criminal charges after allegedly exposing himself to an undercover police officer in a public park restroom late last week.
Rev. Jerzy Sieczynski, 52, was arrested Friday afternoon on a charge of indecent exposure. He was later released on bond.
The priest will be placed on administrative leave by the Archdiocese of San Antonio while an investigation is conducted, church spokesman Deacon Pat Rodgers said in Monday's editions of the San Antonio Express-News.
Sieczynski, associate pastor of St. Matthew's Catholic Church on San Antonio's north side, was arrested in the men's public restroom at Acequia Park on the city's south side.
According to the police report, Sieczynski drove past an undercover officer several times, smiling at him each time. When the police officer left his unmarked car and entered the restroom, the priest followed and greeted him as he walked to a urinal.
Sieczynski then allegedly turned from the urinal and exposed himself to the officer. A second officer entered the restroom and arrested the priest.
In his defense, Sieczynski offered that he merely asked the officer to sprinkle some holy water on the Holy Appendage. Some less respectful wags might respond that there is a time and place for this sort of behavior- it's called a confessional. Of course, I would never be so crass as to stoop to such irreverence. Or would I??
As if the Catholic Church didn't have a monster PR problem to begin with, Rev. Sieczynski decides it's time to air out his Johnson. Nice work, DUMASS....
