Yesterday marked four years since Susan and I met. Today is our third wedding anniversary. To say that the past three years have been eventful would be something of an understatement. Through everything, Susan has stood by me, and I am a fortunate (and very grateful) man. It's been a wild ride, but Susan has always been the one constant in my life.
You know that diamond ring commercial where the man stands in the center of an Italian piazza and screams, "I...LOVE...THIS...WOMAN!!!!"? Well, that's about the way I feel. I'm not that showy (I did, after all, inherit the dominant Minnesota Lutheran anti-ostentatiousness gene), but I do love this woman. We've got a pretty good life, and my only hope is that there will be much more of it to come.
