"Pop" vs. "Soda" (via Brian Kane)

It's the age-old question, and where you fall on the issue says a lot about who you are and where you're from. I live in a place where it's "soda", and "Coke" is a generic term that can mean just about anything carbonated. Nonetheless, the northern Minnesota boy in me will always call it "pop"". Here in Texas, that's always good for garnering a few blank stares as the waitress stares at me like a cow at a passing train.
