Dad plea-bargains in marijuana case
Hmm...something tells me that our latest DUMASS won't be up for Father of the Year.
A man charged with allowing his children to smoke marijuana earlier this year pleaded guilty Friday to one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Jackie Ellison, 28, was originally charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, two counts of transferring marijuana to a person under 15, and two counts of misdemeanor child abuse. The charges allege that during his parenting time with his 6-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter, Ellison smoked marijuana and allowed both children to smoke marijuana. Ellison will be sentenced Feb. 5 and faces up to three years in prison.
What sort of punishment is appropriate for someone who would allow his young children to smoke dope with him? Sterilization might be a good start. I'm not going to advocate eugenics here, but am I the only one amazed that one must have a license to hunt, fish, or own a gun, but any maroon like Jackie Ellison who isn't firing blanks can father a child?
This DUMASS is a perfect example of why some folks should not, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES IMAGINABLE, be allowed to breed.
