Pope Makes Christmas Midnight Mass Peace Plea

Despite my deep and profound philosphical differences with the Catholic Church, it's tough to argue with a message of peace, and the reality is that the Pope is right on this count. There IS too much blood being shed, and for what? What, really, has been gained by the violence, the suffering, and the dying? Nothing...except the promise of yet more violence, suffering, and bloodshed in the coming year.
Peace on Earth, and goodwill towards all men (and women, of course). It seems like that should really be more than just a novel concept, doesn't it??
