Bush uses State of Union to frame re-election agenda
Tonight, George W. Bush gets what amounts to a free campaign speech, and the man who clearly is obsessed with "re-election" (This presumes, of course, that you accept the premise that he was legitimately elected to begin with...I do not.). For those of us who need a distraction to keep the bile from rising in our throats, you might consider the State of the Union scorecard. At least when you find yourself in a debate with unquestioning True Believers, you'll have some talking points. Especially when you consider that Bush has fulfilled only 46% of his 2000 campaign pledges.
Bon Chance, y'all. I still haven't decided whether or not I'm going to force myself to sit through the charade, but if I do, I'll be using the scorecard. Otherwise I'd be throwing mental Nerf balls at the television and Our Sainted (albeit unelected) President.
