I know that the highs in Minnesota have been below freezing all week long. If you're going to flip out like this, wouldn't it make more sense to do it in, say, July??
A man is in custody after exhibiting bizarre behavior early Thursday.
According to an Austin Police Department report, the 21-year-old Austin man was taken into custody in the parking lot of the Burger King restaurant around 3:30 a.m..
The Austin-Mower County Law Enforcement Center received six telephone calls reporting a man completely naked yelling obscenities at passing cars from the Holiday Inn of Austin south across the Interstate 90 freeway bridge along Fourth Street NW.
When police officers arrived, the citizens' reports were confirmed. The man was swearing obscenities and claiming to be "God" while jumping in front of passing vehicles.
The man refused officers' verbal commands to stop. When he finally walked to the Burger King parking lot, officers could see bruises and scrapes on the man's naked body, where he had apparently fallen on the ground.
The man was sprayed with pepper spray at point blank range with no effect, the police reports stated. After being shocked with the department's electric Taser gun from the rear, he fell to the ground, but resisted being handcuffed.
Finally the three officers attempting to subdue the man were able to apply handcuffs and his legs shackled to prevent him from injuring officers or kicking out police car windows.
All of this with no clothes on in sub-freezing temperatures? "Exhibiting bizarre behavior", indeed. Some check that man for frostbite. He's probably a eunuch by now. Yikes....
