Ralph Nader: CEO- Narcissism, Inc.

Let's Ensure Republicans Win Again!

Whatever. He's just in it for the attention anyway - when all is said and done, he'll probably have spent more time dithering about his decision to run than he will have spent actually running. Frankly, anyone who's gonna vote for Nader this time around wasn't gonna vote for the Democrat anyway, so there's no point in wasting energy on him. Without the support of the Green Party, he probably won't get on as many ballots, and he probably won't get as much attention from the media. So do whatever you want, Ralph. I've stopped caring, and you've stopped mattering.

- Chuck Kuffner

Man, I had some rather pointed things to say about Ralph Nader, but I couldn't possibly top this one for sheer anger and vitriol. I'll just let it speak for itself.

In the meantime, I will say that I have lost whatever respect for Ralph Nader that I previously had- and it was considerable. If not for Nader, Gore would be President, and he may end up handing this election to George Bush as well. The man may feel that he has a legitimate ax to grind, but he is fighting the wrong battle with the wrong weapon.

In the end, Nader's presence in the race may not matter all that much. Without the Green Party behind him, he may have difficulty getting his name on ballots in some states. Still, given what we are facing, do we really want to run the risk of Nader handing George W. Bush yet another election? Nader's presence in the 2000 election handed Bush New Hampshire and Florida. Ralph Nader is the reason it was even possible for Bush to steal Florida. If Nader is REALLY concerned about protecting our nation from corporate greedheads, he would be better served by staying out and working for John Kerry.

No, in the final analysis, this is really about assuaging Nader's massive and misguided ego. Period. I hope that he is prepared to live with the possible consequences.

I can only hope that the people who voted for Nader in 2000 will WAKE AND SMELL THE CAT LITTER.... Come on, people; do you REALLY want to be held responsible for handing the Presidency to George W. Bush and his collection of corporate greedheads? If you're willing to have that on your conscience, why not just register as Republicans and get it over with?
