Our beloved Houston Chronicle now has a shopping columnist. Since when does a newspaper with aspirations of greatness but realities of mediocrity need to be celebrating crass materialism?

Actually, the article doesn't look half bad. At least she's giving tips on where to find cute, cheap stuff. As opposed to many mags, where they tell you to buy ugly, expensive stuff. :)
