I spend most of the winter laughing at those of y'all unfortunate enough to be trapped north of the Mason-Dixon Line. Well, now is the time the tables begin to turn. Today's high was 95, and the humidity was somewhere between 65-70%. To call today's weather oppressive would be something of an understatement. It was so hot and humid that it was actually difficult to breathe at times. Yep, it was one of those days that are so uncomfortably hot and humid you can actually feel the sweat trickle down your butt crack. People lived here prior to the advent of air conditioning? Man, the masochism quotient must have been through the roof.
Of course, every now and then, weather like this leads to some killer thunderstorms. It's fun if you're home and safe, but you don't want to be caught out in it. Since I'm home tonight, I'm hoping for a lot of rain- if for no other reason than my truck desperately needs a bath. Maybe I'll just go outside and pour some soap on it and hope for the best....
