When we invaded Iraq 14 months ago, Susan tied a yellow ribbon around a maple tree in our front yard. How long have we been at war? Well, the tree has grown enough to be on the verge of busting the ribbon. Not only that, her "yellow ribbon" is yellow only in our memories...a rather sad commentary if you think about it.
Our hearts go out to the families of all our fallen soldiers....
