Well, that should come as no surprise to anyone with half a brain, eh?

Given the circumstances of Kaufman's death, one has to conclude that despite Kaufman's brilliance when he was performing, he had not a clue about science or medicine. As I recall, Kaufman stopped taking treatment for his illness (was it stomach cancer?) and went to see a Phillipine faith healer, who without surgery managed to extract a tumor from Kaufman (a magic trick, nothing more) and pronounce Kaufman cured. Well, I hope I haven't botched the details too badly.
