If there is ever to be a DUMB@$$ HALL OF FAME (and I'm taking donations, y'all...), Fred Phelps would quite likely be nominee numero uno. Phelps has the distinction of demonstrating that hate is indeed a Christian value- at least in his twisted version of Christianity. Now he is attempting to drive the point home with his own online game.
The object of this game is to place exactly 5 sodomites (represented by a pink swastika) and exactly 3 kids (represented by a baby bottle) on the grid to the right, such that none of the sodomites can get their repulsive hands on any of the kids. A sodomite can move any number of spaces in any direction in a straight line (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally).
Of course, if you're having problem solving the game, it even comes with a handy (Final?) solution:
Phelps is a man who has the audacity to use the word "preach" in conjuction with the hatred and bile he spews. The man may hide behind a Bible, but there is nothing resembling Christian charity in the trash he spews in all directions. A look at his home page should be enough to convince anyone who may have doubted what Phelps and his hatemongers actually stand for. Words like "fag", "whorehouse", "sodomite", and "hate" are spread about liberally- not the kind of thing you would normally expect from a Christian minister.
One of the PDFs available on Phelps' home page is title "All nations must immediately outlaw sodomy (homosexuality) & impose the death penalty." How whacked out are Phelps and his fellow nutjobs? Well, they're far enough out there that they believe that 9.11 was the manifestation of God's disgust with America and it's tolerance of homosexuality. They're far enough out there that they picketed the Johnson Space Center after the Shuttle Columbia blew up in February, 2003. Even here in the very Conservative, Tom DeLay-loving Clear Lake area, they weren't exactly greeted with open arms.
Regardless of your feelings about homosexuality, Fred Phelps and his ilk deserved to have as much light shined on them as possible. Only then will people see them for what they truly are. Fred Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church is as much about Christianity as I am about being elected Queen of England.
The problem here is that Phelps is much too dangerous to be merely a DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener. Sadly, this is about as much as I can do from my little corner of the Internet to shine the light of reason on this f*****g troll. Christian love, my @$$....
