It really IS easier when you compare things scientifically

The politicizing of Ronald Reagan's death has already begun. Right now, I am so sick of seeing Condoleeza Rice and her self-satisfied smirk as she compares her boss to the Gipper. If she would just remover her anterior from his posterior, she might begin to recognize that Dubya couldn't carry Ronald Reagan's jockstrap.

How 'bout we do some side-by-side comparison, George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan? I think you might find it enlightening (apologies to Nick Bakay)....

RR: "The Great Communicator"
GWB: "The Great Prevaricator"
Advantage: Reagan

RR: Revered by Conservatives
GWB: Tolerated by Conservatives because he was the only available option
Advantage: Reagan

RR: His last name connotes a time of hope and optimism in American history
GWB: His last name connotes nepotism, lack of integrity, and the willingness to frivolously spend American lives to maintain power
Advantage: Reagan

RR: Sky-high peacetime deficit
GWB: Sky-high wartime deficit
Advantage: Reagan

RR: Statesman
GWB: Cowboy
Advantage: Reagan

RR: Oliver North
GWB: Colin Powell
Push

RR: Al Haig
GWB: Karl Rove
Advantage: Bush

RR: Iran-Contra
GWB: WMDs
Advantage: Reagan

RR: "Morning in America"
GWB: "Mourning in America" for 800+ dead servicemen and women
Advantage: Reagan

RR: Miserably inadequate AIDS policies
GWB: "Compassionate Conservatism"
PUSH

RR: Supply-side economics
GWB: Learned all he needed to know about economics from Daddy's rich friends
Advantage: Reagan

RR: "We did not trade arms for hostages" (1986)
GWB: "Saddam has WMDs" (2003)
Advantage: Reagan

Before Republicans (and, more specifically, George W. Bush) try to cloak themselves in the mantle of Reagan's legacy, you might want to at least wait until the man is buried. THEN you can try and figure out whether or not Our Sainted President is worthy. I'm here to tell you that George W. Bush is to Ronald Reagan what Jessica Simpson is to native intelligence. Proceed at your own peril.
