Summer finally began at about 9.45pm last night, when the clock ran out on Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals and Tampa Bay celebrated their first-ever skate with the Cup. The franchise that for years was the laughing stock of all of professional sports now (deservedly) gets it's moment in the sun.
Now that summer is finally here, Susan will be happy. No more hockey. She's indulged me throughout the playoffs and particularly through the Finals. Now I should probably spend some time with her. I can't imagine that it's easy being a hockey widow....
