Magic TV analyst charged with sexual battery: Givens, 47, accused of assaulting 14-year-old girl
What is it about DUMB@$$E$ and sex with underage kids? Is it just that adults with boundary issues make good DUMB@$$E$? Or does their lack of boundaries open up some truly mind-boggling possibilities? How about both? In the case of our latest DUMB@$$, this would seem to be the case.
ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando Magic television commentor and former NBA player Jack “Goose” Givens was arrested late Monday on charges of sexual battery and lewd molestation of a 14-year-old girl, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said....
A Sheriff’s Office spokesman said the girl reported that Givens assaulted her several times on June 18 at her home and reported the alleged incident five days later.
“These are very serious allegations...In the next couple of days, I hope this can be put to rest,” Givens told WKMG-TV....
Givens starred at the University of Kentucky and is best known for scoring 41 points in the 1978 national championship game win over Duke. He was a first-round pick of the Atlanta Hawks in 1978.
Givens has been an analyst for several networks, including NBC, Turner Sports and ESPN.
Hmm...talk about your non-denial denial, eh? No "I did NOT have sex with that woman" indignation here. Perhaps Mr. DUMB@$$...er, Givens, recognizes that he's got a spot on Florida's sex offender registry waiting for him. With any luck, he'll also have a jail cell waiting for him.
