Report: Texas prisons to be out of room as soon as 2005
Some states are trying to abolish the death penalty. Mine is putting in an express lane.

You know, the death penalty might just be the perfect solution to this problem, eh? Hmm...I may have to rethink my opposition to the death penalty.
Seriously, though, at some point, Governor Goodhair and his cohorts are going to have to address this issue. Do we simply keep building more prisons? Or do we begin to look for alternatives to warehousing criminals? How many Texans have to be behind bars before we begin to see that there might just be a problem here?
Of course, this issue may soon go by the wayside. If Democrats in the Legislature have their way, Governor Goodhair may be facing the prospect of impeachment. Be still my foolish heart....
