Experts fear Charley's aftermath may be as bad as storm
Imagine living in 90-degree heat and high humidity with no electricity, no running water, and no home to return to. You have no food, no clothes, and no idea of where to start the process of putting your life back together. The good news is that help is on the way. The bad news is that no matter how quickly it arrives, or how much of it arrives, it cannot be enough.
Life is slowly, and I do mean SLOWLY, beginning to head in the general direction of normal, but putting Humpty Dumpty back together again is not going to be an easy or speedy process. People may be grateful to be alive, but in South Florida's heat and humidity, gratitude can easily give way to anger and frustration...and it's just beginning.
