Plea deal made in stabbing death: Adelina Sipperley to be sentenced Nov. 12
Now, I’m not speaking from personal experience here, but it would seem a matter of pure common sense that when one is smoking crack, one should probably stay away from knives, guns, or other implements of personal destruction. Apparently, Ms. Sipperely never got the memo.
Adelina Sipperley, 39, who is being held in the Ottawa County Detention Facility, stabbed Derek Trent with a 6-inch kitchen knife more than 24 times in his mobile home at 1670 W. Lakeshore Drive.
Sipperley pleaded guilty to one count of reckless homicide, a third-degree felony, and one count of possession of crack cocaine, a fifth-degree felony….
Sipperley and her daughter, Jessica Guerra, 19, of Port Clinton, were smoking crack cocaine at Trent’s trailer when the three got into a dispute about money, police reported.
Sipperley stabbed Trent because he threatened Guerra with a butcher knife and choked her, police reported.
“There was a legitimate self-defense claim in this case,” Ottawa County Assistant Prosecutor Greg McGory said. “But there were other factors, too, besides that.”
Gee, you mean there were factors OTHER than Sipperley smoking crack with her daughter at work here? The possibilities just boggle the mind, don’t they?
What kind of a DUMB@$$ smokes crack WITH HER OWN DAUGHTER? Like this is the game the whole family can play? And you just had to figure that this would all take place in a trailer, didn’t you? It’s like the Holy Trinity of Dissolution: crack, weapons, and trailers. The only thing missing her is mother-daughter prostitution, drug dealing, and seeral bottles of Wild Turkey…or perhaps those are the “other factors”?
Yes, kids, THIS is the stuff that true DUMB@$$E$ are made of. Not only is Adelina Sipperley deserving of her DUMB@$$ AWARD, I’ve half a mind to retire the award with her. Nonetheless, impressive though Sipperley’s lack of maturity, intelligence, and maternal skills may be, my work is not done. The DUMB@$$E$ will always be among us.
