This one hurt. On the verge of their first World Series ever, the Houston Astros just didn’t quite have enough to hold off the St. Louis Cardinals. I had been hoping beyond hope that Houston and Minnesota would make it to the Series, but St. Louis and Boston isn’t a bad matchup.
Was last night’s game Roger Clemens’ last? Well, we all though Game Six of last year’s World Series against Florida was his swan song. If he does come back, the question becomes: “Can a 43-year-old pitcher lead the Astros to the promised land?” If Andy Pettitte and Wade Miller can stay healthy through the season, it just may be possible. Life begins anew on Opening Day….
