Now all we can do is wait....

It has been a long damn day, but all in all I think a rather rewarding one. After being up at 4am, at the precinct at 6am, and working pretty much striaght through until 8pm, I can safely say that I have a new-found respect for the electoral process in this country. It’s not just a matter of showing up and voting. Putting on an election is a LOT of work, even in a smaller precinct like Precinct 333.

I did learn a lot, but right now I’m so tired I can barely think straight. Yes, I’ve been up since 4am, but like many Americans, I’m glued to the television watching election returns. Perhaps after a good night’s sleep, I’ll be able to reflect on my experiences with a bit more clarity than my foggy brain is capable of at the moment. For now, I just want to vegetate and watch the talking heads do their thing.

More to come….
