Reflections on what we have wrought

I can’t say that I’m the least bit surprised at the outcome, since it’s almost identical to the 2000 election. It is nevertheless quite disheartening to consider that we must now live with the Coalition of the Willfully Ignorant, Blissfully Stupid and Irretrievably Evil for another four years. Sadly, I think this election really marks a transition in our culture and that the world will suffer greatly for the loss. America has opted to reject 500 years of Enlightenment philosophy and progress and return to a path of fear, greed, hatred and ignorance.

In an uncommon flash of revelation, it was today revealed that GWP had been re-elected because the majority of Republicans secretly fantasise about sex with his twin daughters.

The Democrats wanted to keep this from going to courts. Thanks to their strategy of an incoherent campaign message, an uncomfortable Vietnam fetish, and an undying belief in the get out the vote power of Ashton Kutcher and Bon Jovi, it won’t be.
